With 155 interfaces to move over, the task was no small feat. As the project progressed, that number grew as they discovered additional interfaces. Some weren’t in use anymore and could be deprecated after consulting with stakeholders, but the scope of the work remained significant for the team of three. 

The first step involved setting up Corepoint’s servers with assistance from the Rhapsody support team. After finalizing contracts, the clinic built “bridge” interfaces, migrating one interface at a time rather than tackling all 155 simultaneously. This approach minimized disruptions for end users and reduced noise during the transition, allowing the team to focus on each integration individually to ensure smooth and seamless implementation.

Known for handling their server setups internally, Hattiesburg Clinic maintained full control and understanding of their system throughout the transition. After completing Level 1 training in February 2023, the clinic’s team quickly mastered managing the migration independently.  

Even when encountering a few challenging cases, they skillfully navigated these with minimal external assistance, only seeking support for particularly complex issues. Initially, the team had planned for an ambitious six-month transition, and they completed the entire process in just over three months – in half the time. They migrated the first interface successfully on April 2nd, and by July 26th, the final one went live. In total, they transitioned 155 interfaces without disrupting end users—a testament to the team’s meticulous planning and dedication. 

The driving reason for switching to Corepoint was the need for a more user-friendly system. The clinic had grown frustrated with its previous system, which had changed hands multiple times, leading to inconsistent support and an outdated product that no longer met their needs.
