Prerequisites

This course has the following prerequisites: Rhapsody Integration Engine Professional Certification.

It is recommended that attendees have a high level of experience with messaging engines in general and the Rhapsody Integration Engine in particular.

Expert Level Courses provide additional higher-level topics for consultants and administrators working on complex sites that may include multiple Rhapsody engines, high message throughput and complex message requirements.

The courses provide stand-alone extensions to the Professional Certification and can be attempted in isolation or sequentially.

Goals

To provide administrators with:

  • Advanced training to facilitate complex site management
  • Extension materials to assist in the planning, establishment, and management of complex sites

Available modules and what you should be able to do upon completion:

  1. Designing Complex Configurations – Learn how to design and implement a complex configuration in Rhapsody ensuring appropriate best practices are used.
  2. Site Administration – Learn to manage a Rhapsody installation. Explore the Rhapsody API to programmatically manage your Engine.
  3. Troubleshooting – Explore the process of identifying and solving functional and performance issues. Review the tools that can be used to help with troubleshooting.
  4. Database Filter and Communication Points – Learn how to use all the features of the various Database communication points and filters.
  5. Advanced Configuration – Advanced JavaScript – Learn how to use extend the use of JavaScript in a Rhapsody configuration.
  6. Rhapsody Development Kit – Learn how to extend the Rhapsody Integration Engine with custom filters and communication. This course assumes a basic knowledge of Eclipse IDE and working experience with the Java programming language.
