Business systems expert and health care change advocate Elizabeth Stefanski spoke mid-October about the importance of human-centered design at Corepoint Connect 13, Corepoint Health’s user group conference. Stefanski focused specfically on the key elements of a market maker and what makes them so important, while simultaneously weaving in tales of Star Trek and the Waffle House.
Stefanski is the chief market maker at the Business Innovation Factory in Providence, R.I., where she helps business leaders discover innovative ways to create change through disruptive business models. A majority of her work is focused in the Business Innovation Factory’s Patient Experience Lab, which explores how health care systems can move beyond sick care to a system focused on wellness.
