Using an Integration AI Agent to Optimize Data Feeds: Practical Lessons for Modern HIEs

Thursday, August 27, 2026
11:00 AM PDT / 2:00PM EDT

Your HIE is being asked to do more than move data from point A to point B. Members, providers, and communities expect trusted, usable data that supports care delivery, analytics, public health, and day-to-day decisions, all while your team manages growing data quality demands, legacy interfaces, governance requirements, and limited staff.

Join Rhapsody and Civitas Networks for Health for a member-led session featuring leaders from CliniSync, Ohio’s statewide HIE, who’ll share a real-world case study on modernizing integration workflows with AI.

You’ll learn:

  • How CliniSync tackled a tough data quality challenge across Ohio’s statewide HIE
  • What it really takes to modernize integration workflows without losing the people and process expertise that got you here
  • Practical ways AI can speed up integration work and take pressure off lean teams
  • How to think about AI-assisted integration for your own roadmap
  • Where to start if data quality at scale is your next big lift

Who should watch:

  • HIE leaders and integration teams evaluating AI for interoperability initiatives
  • Integration and data quality staff looking to simplify day-to-day data feed management
  • IT and operations leaders exploring real-world approaches to scaling data quality
  • Anyone weighing how AI fits into an existing integration environment without adding complexity

Meet the speakers:

Henry Vynalek is a healthcare technology leader with 15+ years in health IT, interoperability, and enterprise infrastructure. He is Senior Director of HIE & IT Operations at OHIP, supporting CliniSync, Ohio’s statewide HIE. He leads teams focused on secure data exchange, engineering, and connectivity across hospitals, health systems, and public health partners. His background spans integration, cybersecurity, and clinical operations, bridging gaps between care delivery and technology.

Paul Stein is an Integration Engineer at CliniSync, where he builds and manages the interfaces that connect hospitals and practices to Ohio’s statewide HIE. He joined the Ohio Health Information Partnership in 2013 as a CliniSync Physician Liaison supporting provider connections in Northwest Ohio before moving into integration engineering. Paul brings clinical, technical, and project management experience to the role — including years in radiology and cardiology imaging systems and healthcare application management — and deep knowledge of health information technology. He holds a B.S. in Health Care Administration from the University of Northwestern Ohio.

Drew’s focus is on corporate strategy. His experience includes over 20 years in health IT, working with a wide spectrum of customers, including public HIEs, IDNs, payers, life sciences companies, and software vendors, with the goal of improving outcomes and reducing costs by aggregating and analyzing clinical, claims, and cost data.
