Course information

Level 1: Corepoint Integration Engine Certification consists of two parts:

Instructor-led, web training

Three days of instructor-led comprehensive training on configuring, testing, and maintaining HL7 v2 interfaces via TCP/IP.

An instructor leads you through practical real-world, hands-on activities so you gain a solid understanding of managing interfaces. After completing this course, you are equipped to create, test, deploy, and monitor interfaces in your healthcare environment.

10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. CT
Maximum class size: 20

Self-paced certification

After completing the instructor-led portion, you will be automatically enrolled in the certification portion of the course comprised of a final quiz and three final assessment scenarios. You have 90 days to submit your final assessment for grading by expert staff. Certification is achieved by passing the quiz and satisfactorily completing the scenarios.

Prerequisites

1 | HL7: First Steps or equivalent knowledge. We recommend all students with little HL7 knowledge take the HL7: First Steps training class before attending Level 1.

2 | Tutorial: Introduction to Level 1 Training – A short self-paced tutorial provides foundation knowledge that you will need for Day 1 of training. Access will be provided following class registration. Topics include:

  • The role of the engine in your environment
  • Parts of an interface – connections and action lists
  • How messages are loaded and parsed in the engine

3 | Class Setup – Two monitors or a computer with a projector for your group. For each student, one monitor is to view the Virtual Machine window displaying your student training computer where you will complete lab activities in Corepoint Integration Engine. The other monitor or projector screen is to view the instructor’s screen in the GoToTraining online meeting room. You will get access to your student VM on Day 1.

4 | Certification – To take the certification, you must have completed the Level 1 instructor-led portion on release 7.0 or higher, otherwise you must take the current version of Level 1 before you can take the certification portion.
