#HIMSS16 mix tape: Having fun with the ‘hits’

February 8, 2016

From Colin Hung for the EMR and HIPAA blog:

“Last year, ahead of HIMSS15, I decided to do a fun blog post. I asked some friends to send me a song they thought reflected what was happening in #HealthIT at the time. I compiled everyone’s selections along with the reasons behind their choice. I called it the HIMSS15 Mix Tape. The response was amazing….

This year, I asked an even larger number of friends to contribute a song. So without further rambling, here is the #HIMSS16 Mix Tape.”

Oh, the good ‘ole days of mixed tapes. Remember sitting down in front of your dual cassette recorder, painstakingly putting together perfectly planned songs for that special girl in class?

No? Well, you must have graduated college after the year 2000.

We have it so much easier now with Spotify playlists — and access to so much more music!

Our friend Colin Hung put together a fun post compiling the music suggestions from a handful of different friends, including our own Chad Johnson, who coincidentally chose Jimi Hendrix’s Fire… or… FHIR. If you’ll be at HIMSS and want to learn more about health IT’s version of FHIR, stop by our booth #3408 for sessions at the following times:

  • Tuesday, March 1 | 2:00 PM
  • Wednesday, March 2 | 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM
  • Thursday, March 3 | 10:30 AM

Check it out and Rock On!
